I had the opportunity to attend an event organized by Bosch in Aveiro, which focused on the fields of informatics and mechanical engineering. During the event, I was able to visit their facilities, meet their team, and gain insights into the objectives and challenges of each project. Through this experience, I was able to witness firsthand their philosophy of "growing together, enjoying our work, and inspiring each other".

Attendee of the UA Webinar on "Scientific Information Research" ("Pesquisa de Informação Científica") gained the knowledge and abilities needed to identify scientific information and research sources, including databases and repositories. The webinar also provided insight into the fundamental research procedures for finding, evaluating, and choosing scientific data. These procedures include defining the topic and subject terms, choosing information sources, creating a study profile, gathering and analyzing data.

I attended the UA Webinar on "How to Comply with the Written Presentation Guidelines for UA Theses and Dissertations" ("Como Cumprir as Normas de Apresentação Escrita das Teses e Dissertações da UA"), which made participants aware of the frequent irregularities and gave important insight into the UA norms for the written presentation of theses and dissertations.

I took part in the Accenture workshop on "How to Deliver a Pitch" (“Como Realizar um Pitch”), which gave me insightful knowledge on persuasive and successful communication. During the workshop, we practiced making strong pitches and concentrated on how we should portray ourselves during job interviews.

I had the pleasure of attending an engaging workshop featuring OutSystems, a top-tier provider of low-code application development platforms, and their partnership with Deloitte. One of the highlights was learning about Deloitte's artificial intelligence platform, the Behaviour and Emotion Analytics Tool (BEAT), which was built with OutSystems' assistance. The platform's engine, Deloitte True Voice, was presented as a practical solution that supports businesses in maintaining conduct risk standards and avoiding regulatory fines that may arise from human error or inadequate supervision. The workshop also gave me hands-on experience with the tool.

The Buddy system is a project that seeks to facilitate the integration of exchange students into their new cities. It provides a platform for international students to request a local student as a tutor, or Buddy, who will serve as a guide and mentor during their initial days in the new city. The Buddy will be available to answer questions, clarify doubts, and assist the student in navigating the city. The system aims to provide a seamless transition for exchange students and foster a sense of community between local and international students.
